Approval times, turnaround, workload and bottlenecks, visible to the people running the firm.
Follow-ups, without the follow-up emails

Activity
Accountability, built in
Every submission, approval, rejection, assignment and completion is recorded automatically with the person and the time. Records are append-only: history cannot be edited or deleted in Radif, and the database itself enforces that rule.

illustrative report · your numbers come from your firm's own requests
Amount thresholds, per-type rules, approver pools and multi-step chains decide where every request goes. You set the rules in Radif; the engine executes them.
Threshold rule: $5,000 and above routes to the managing partner.
Thresholds. $5,000 and above routes up. Below routes to the office manager. Your numbers, your approvers.
Per-type rules. Trust transfers always reach a trust-authorized partner, at any amount.
Approval chains. Sequence steps, or require several approvers in parallel on one step, for the requests that warrant it.
Approver pools. Route to a pool and the first authorized approver to act clears it.
Every request clears its full approval chain, at least one human approval and as many steps as your rules require, before accounting acts. No exceptions. Test any rule before it goes live, reassign a pending approval any time, and if an approver leaves, their open approvals hand off automatically.
Inside your firm
Four roles ship ready to use. Permissions are enforced by the database on every query, not just hidden in the interface.

Not just accounting
Underneath the six standard request types is a general engine: any form, any routing rule, the same audit trail. If your firm tracks it by email today, it can live in Radif tomorrow.
Need a request type we don't ship? Tell us. We configure the form and routing with you during onboarding, included in every plan, and customer requests decide what we build next.
Between firms
Encryption and access controls are table stakes; we treat them that way. What a law firm actually needs is stronger: client data that cannot cross firm boundaries, history that cannot be rewritten, staff access that ends the moment it should, and data that stays in Canada.
FIRM A
FIRM B
row-level security boundary
immutable audit events

Database-enforced tenant isolation

No. Radif runs in the browser and works alongside whatever your firm already uses. There is nothing to install and no dependency on Microsoft 365, SharePoint or Power Automate.
Yes. Every request form is configuration, not code: fields, labels, required rules, ordering, dropdown options and conditional fields can all be adapted to your firm's terminology and process, and every template is versioned. Admins edit forms directly in Radif with a live preview.
Yes, at the database layer. Every record carries your firm's identity and PostgreSQL Row-Level Security enforces isolation on every query, so one firm can never read another firm's requests, users, files, comments or reports.
In Canada: our database and document storage run in AWS's Canada (Central) region on managed infrastructure (Supabase), encrypted in transit and at rest, with daily encrypted backups. Firms outside Canada can use Radif with their data hosted in Canada; if your firm requires residency in another region, contact us about a dedicated Enterprise deployment. See our Security page for the full breakdown.
Under an hour. Sign up, invite your team, assign roles and set your approval rules, from a single approver per type to multi-step chains. There is no implementation project, no consultants and no custom development.
Yes. The six standard types (expenses, cheque requisitions, trust cheques, trust deposits, trust transfers and general requests) ship ready to use. If your firm needs another, tell us: we configure the form and routing with you during onboarding, included in every plan.
No. Accounting requests are where most firms feel the pain first, so that is where we started. The engine underneath is general: any request type, any form, any routing rule, with the same approval and audit machinery. New focus areas are added based on what customers ask for.
Yes. Receipts, invoices, client instructions and backup documents attach directly to the request and stay with it permanently, in private storage only your firm can access.
Yes. There is no long-term lock-in, and we will export your firm's data on request. Renewal and cancellation terms are set out in the Order Form and Terms of Service.
